Reviewer: Ryan the Iowan from Weekly Crisis Comic Book Review Power Rankings
A perfect follow-up that excels in all aspects of the craft. The cover, the plotting, the character work, the illustrations, the lettering, the overall design -- they all work in perfect sync to earn this issue the honor of Book of the Week and to make it a frontrunner for Single Issue of the Year. I know absolutely nothing about Elephantmen and any related works. Remarkably, the story is incredibly easy to get. This is how to do a one-shot comic. Link: http://butbeforeikillyou.blogspot.com/2009/07/marvelous-and-marvel-less-reviews-for.html

It's dark, it's frightening, it's deadly. I highly recommend this comic. Link: http://www.comiclist.com/index.php/reviews/elephantmen-war-toys-yvette-review

Reviewer: Brandon from Comics For Serious Readers
Less the tale of one of the war's characters than the story of a character in the war, 'Yvette' traces the character's arrival at unabashed brutalism -- both a necessity for her to keep living and in many ways, the point where she stops living. The comic looks great, and ends with a last page both surprising and genuinely funny. Link: http://thingsilike08.blogspot.com/2009/07/elephantmen-war-toys-yvette.html
