Trade paperbacks! Hardcovers! Jigsaws! Stuff!
Those awfully nice chaps at Comic-con International have arranged
a special event for ELEPHANTMEN fans at San Francisco’s Concourse
(620 7th Street)! Yes, the APE event, which we're pretty certain
is an acronym for ALL PRAISE ELEPHANTMEN and not "Alternative Press
Expo" as the site misleadingly claims.
ELEPHANTMEN creator and writer Richard Starkings will be at the centerpiece of the show -- TABLE 518 -- and
our friends at Image will be set up nearby, no doubt so that their
sales benefit tangentially for the long lines waiting for their
chance to buy ELEPHANTMEN goodies.
Also available at the ELEPHANTMEN
table will be a cornucopia of Active Images' "alternate press"
publications including SOLSTICE, SKIDMARKS, STRANGE EMBRACE, TEMPTATION and COMIC BOOK LETTERING THE COMICRAFT WAY. Donations of British chocolate gratefully accepted as always.
